Secret Villa Phnom Penh

Summary

An oasis of calm in the middle of the mess, the chaotic streets outside not visible and seldom heard. The Secret Villa boasts rich green foliage, a nice little swimming pool (more fit for the tethered swimming of a dog than for people – it’s quite small!), a lobby full of art hangings and comfy sofas, and beautiful large rooms, minimalist and trendy. The staff were lovely, and, like the young chap at reception, very willing to help in any way possible.

Breakfasts are not the Secret Villa’s forte, but taken in surrounds as lovely as the Secret Villa’s make it just about bearable. 

We really enjoyed the Secret Villa, and would recommend it to anyone who is in the city for a short time and wants to be close to everything, yet not disturbed by everything.

OUR 🔥TIPS😘:
💫 Heading down street 184 you find the Royal Palace 3 blocks away….so the location is pretty good – but take a tuk-tuk down to the riverfront if it’s too hot, or if it’s dark. Other attractions are a short tuk-tuk ride away too.
💫 Relax in the clean, minimalist lounge area – a good spot for chatting to fellow travellers
💫 If you plan on leaving early for sightseeing, let the chef know the day before so he can rustle you up an early morning treat!
